Giving Batteries A
Second Chance
We recycle discarded vapes and transform them into powerful and sustainably sourced battery pack solutions for everyday applications from cordless power tools to personal E-vehicles. Join us in keeping disposable vapes out of landfills.
The Problem
Disposable vapes have become one of the fastest-growing sources of electronic waste.
These devices contain valuable lithium-ion batteries that still have 98% of their capacity
when discarded, along with other electrical components such as Circuit boards, Displays,
and on board programmable chips, yet they end up polluting our landfills and environment.

Environmental Impact
Lithium batteries leak toxic chemicals into soil and groundwater, causing long-term environmental damage.
Wasted Resources
Each battery contains valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel that could power other devices.
Untapped Energy
Discarded vape batteries retain about 98% of their usable life, representing massive energy waste.
Our Solution
From Waste to Universal Power Packs
We transform discarded vape batteries into a product line of different universal power packs for consumer electronics that range from 12V to 48V Battery packs. These battery packs are compatible with major tool brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Makita, along with various E-bike and E-Scooter makes and models. Our recycled battery packs deliver the same performance as OEM batteries while keeping harmful waste out of landfills.

Transforming Waste into Opportunity
Second Chance Material and Design was founded on a simple belief: every discarded disposable vape represents a huge untapped potential. We are a small recycling initiative in the Greater Seattle area that is growing into a full comprehensive solution for one of the fastest-growing e-waste problems of our time.
We're not just recycling batteries—we're reimagining the entire lifecycle of portable power. By partnering with local businesses and leveraging innovative remanufacturing techniques, we're creating a circular economy that benefits everyone: consumers get affordable power solutions, businesses reduce their environmental footprint, and our planet gets a fighting chance.
